RFID Tag Reader

Here I did a small mod to a ready available RFID Tag reader by adding a simple toggle switch using a 4027 J-K FlipFlop.
The Tag reader is offered for about 25€ at ebay and comprises 3 Tags plus a Master Tag

Here´s the schema of the toggle switch. Operation is simple: Typically the output of the Tag Reader is low, and when a Tag is correctly identified, it goes high as long the Tag is present. Along with this, the buzzer connected between input and ground gives a beep. Together with the rising edge of the readers output signal, the Flip-Flop changes it´s state. The output transistor offers an open collector for connecting a relay or similar. This small basic application can be used in many cases, where an On/Off state is desired, but only a short signal is present. Special care needs to be taken for debouncing the input signal.
PAD5 and PAD6 offer easy access to the SET and RESET inputs of the Flip-Flop, just in case they are needed.
